I'm Simone, an Ipswich-based photographer with a love for honest connection, soft light and all the beautifully unscripted moments in between. My shoots are calm, chilled and gently guided, never stiff or overly posed.

Soft, neutral tones photograph beautifully: creams, beiges, muted blues and greens. Aim to coordinate rather than match, and avoid big logos or busy patterns. Comfortable clothes you can sit, play and cuddle in work best. I'm always happy to help with outfit ideas before your session.
That's completely normal and nothing to worry about. Newborn sessions are calm, patient and baby-led, with plenty of time built in for feeds, changes and cuddles. We go at your baby's pace.
Usually within the first few weeks, while your baby is still tiny and sleepy. It's a good idea to get in touch during pregnancy so I can pencil in your due date, then we'll confirm the exact day once your little one arrives.
Family sessions can be anywhere you love, or I can suggest some beautiful local spots around Ipswich. Indoor sessions can also be arranged. Newborn sessions take place in your home or at my home set-up, which is not a studio.
Your edited images are delivered in a private Pic-Time gallery, ready to download and share, within 2–3 weeks for family sessions and 3–4 weeks for newborn sessions.
For outdoor sessions, I keep an eye on the forecast. If the weather isn't suitable, we'll move your session to the next available date at no extra cost, and your booking fee carries over.
The small print
Paying your booking fee means you've read and agreed to these terms. They're here to keep things simple and fair for everyone.
A £50 booking fee secures your date and comes off your package price. The remaining balance is due 48 hours before your session. Your date isn't confirmed until the booking fee has been paid. For weddings and celebrations, the deposit and payment schedule is set out in your quote.
The booking fee is non-refundable, as it reserves a date that I turn other clients away for. It can be moved to a new date if you reschedule within these terms.
If you book by email, phone or online, you can cancel within 14 days of booking for a full refund, unless your session takes place within those 14 days.
You can reschedule once, free of charge, with at least 48 hours' notice. Further changes, or changes with less notice, may mean a new booking fee is needed. I'll always try to be flexible where I can.
Cancelling with less than 48 hours' notice, or not attending, means the booking fee is lost. Any balance already paid will be refunded.
Babies arrive on their own schedule, so newborn dates are flexible. Let me know once your baby is born and we'll confirm a date, usually within the first few weeks.
If anyone is unwell, especially around a newborn, please let me know and we'll move your session without any charge. Your little one's health always comes first.
For outdoor sessions, if the weather isn't suitable we'll move to the next available date at no cost.
Sessions start at the booked time. If you're running late, I'll do my best to give you the full time, but the session may need to finish at the original end time.
Your baby's safety comes first. I only use gentle, natural poses, and a parent is always close by. I'll never put a baby in a position that isn't safe.
Edited images are delivered in a private Pic-Time gallery within 2–3 weeks for family sessions and 3–4 weeks for newborn sessions. I'd always recommend downloading and backing up your images so you have your own copy.
Every image is hand-edited in my natural, timeless style. Unedited (RAW) files and extra editing such as removing people or changing backgrounds aren't included.
Simone keeps the copyright to all images. You're free to print and share your photos for personal use, including on social media. Please don't edit them or add filters, and a credit to By Simone Photography is always appreciated. Commercial use needs written permission.
I'd love to share some of my favourite images from your session, but I'll always ask first. You're free to say no and it won't affect your session in any way.
Sessions within 20 miles of Ipswich are included. For locations further afield, a small travel fee may apply and will be agreed before you book.
Your details are only used to arrange and deliver your session. They're never shared or sold, and you can ask me to delete them at any time.
